How much does a hotel save with Guest Talk?
Move three sliders and Talkguest returns a conservative annual saving estimate. The numbers combine commission recovered on direct bookings, hours saved on manual work, and revenue recovered on cart abandonment — three lines that show up in every customer's first quarter on the platform.
How the calculator gets to the number
The Talkguest ROI model is deliberately conservative. Three inputs, three saving lines, one output — no invisible marketing multipliers.
1. Direct-booking shift (4.5% of annual room revenue)
Every property on the platform earns a share of its OTA bookings back through the commission-free direct engine, driven by the widget on the property website plus Google Hotels metasearch integration. The median lift after 90 days is +42% direct bookings, but the calculator uses a lower-bound value of 4.5% of annual room revenue recovered — enough to be safe even for the property that gets least uplift.
2. Cart-abandonment recovery (2% of annual room revenue)
The abandoned-cart flow in the direct booking engine sends two well-timed emails to guests who reached the payment step and left. Across the Talkguest customer base the flow recovers 6% to 11% of would-be bookings; the calculator assumes half the low end, on the pessimistic side of the range.
3. Time saving (8 hours per week at €14 per hour)
The unified inbox, automated pre-arrival flows, mobile housekeeping cards and OTA payout reconciliation together return around 18 hours per week to the average reception team. The calculator uses less than half of that — 8 hours per week, at the Portuguese minimum-wage equivalent hourly cost, all-inclusive.
