Talk with Guest, Lda is a Portuguese SaaS company building the guest communication and operations hub for independent hospitality. We started in Lisbon in early 2023 with a boutique group as our first customer, and we still ship every release with them on the same calls.
Three teams, one product
The founding team came out of three parts of the hospitality industry that never quite spoke the same language. One founder ran a boutique group in Chiado with a spreadsheet-driven front office and a chronic OTA-commission problem. Another had built and sold a hostel network across Porto, Braga and Coimbra, and was frustrated by the gap between what channel managers promised and what they delivered. The third came from a revenue-management consultancy in Barcelona that had watched dozens of independents lose margin to platforms they could not fully control.
We founded Talkguest in the first quarter of 2023 to build the platform none of us had been able to buy. The first commit is on GitHub with the message "start again, this time properly". The first customer went live in September 2023. As of November 2026 there are 214 European properties on the platform.
Small, senior, embedded with customers
Twenty-two people across engineering, hospitality operations and revenue advisory. Everyone at the company runs a shift on the shared customer channel every second week, from the CEO to the newest engineer.
