Onboarding programme
Live in two weeks.
The Guest Talk onboarding programme is a structured two-week sequence — from your first call to a fully live property on every channel. Included with every plan. First month of the subscription included; you start paying from the beginning of the second month.
The two-week programme
- Day 1 — kickoff call (60 min). Introduce your onboarding engineer and CSM. Confirm scope, migration source (if any), primary language, primary payment provider. Sign the DPA. Provision your tenant.
- Day 2–3 — inventory import. Rooms, room types, rates and availability come across from your current PMS or are set up from scratch. Every mapping is reviewed with you before it is committed.
- Day 4–5 — channel connections. Booking, Expedia, Airbnb, HostelWorld and any regional channels you use are connected two-way. Any historic reservations from the last 90 days are imported so the arrival dashboard is not empty.
- Day 6 — messaging setup. WhatsApp Business Account is submitted to Meta if you don't have one (approval takes 3-7 business days in parallel). Pre-arrival, mid-stay and post-stay templates configured in your primary language.
- Day 7 — direct booking engine. The widget is embedded on your website or a hosted flow is provisioned on a subdomain of your choice. Google Hotels connection is set up.
- Day 8 — accounting and payments. Factura sequences configured, VAT rules set per rate plan, payment provider tokenised. First test transaction runs end-to-end.
- Day 9–10 — staff training. Reception (2 sessions), revenue owner (1 session), housekeeping supervisor (1 session). Every session recorded and left in your tenant for reference.
- Day 11 — dress rehearsal. A dry run of a full 24-hour cycle — reservation, message, arrival, upsell, checkout, review — in your live tenant with synthetic guests.
- Day 12–13 — go-live prep. Final channel checks, first day arrivals loaded, on-call escalation path confirmed with your general manager.
- Day 14 — go live. Your onboarding engineer is on shift for your first live check-in. Any anomaly in the first 72 hours is handled by the onboarding team, not passed to normal support.
- Day 30 — confirmation. End of the included month. Review the setup with your CSM, adjust the plan if the fit is different from what we predicted, start paying from day 31.
- Day 60 & 90 — quarterly review. Business and Enterprise customers get a formal review with the CSM on days 60 and 90 to catch anything that isn't working and to explore modules you haven't turned on yet.
What we ask from you
- A named point of contact who can commit decisions on rates, cancellation policy, and payment provider.
- Access credentials for your current PMS and OTA channel manager (via a secure share; we do not accept credentials over email).
- Availability for the four training sessions across day 9-10, split as you prefer.
- A working set of email templates in your primary language — we translate them to Talkguest's format; we do not need pixel-perfect designs.
- Signature on the DPA and the master service agreement — both electronic, both under half a page.
What if it takes longer than two weeks?
It sometimes does. The longest genuine migration we have completed was 34 days for a hotel group with 11 properties on three legacy systems. The extension was on the migration validation, not on the platform setup. If your case is likely to run long, we tell you on the day-1 call — not two weeks in.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. The onboarding programme is included with every plan. The first month of the subscription is included. You start paying from day 31 at the plan you signed up on.
